
A lot of people are very disappointed with the way the government is operating. The health care bill that was opposed by a majority of American citizens, was passed by Congress anyway. When a government imposes a law like this, it can only be called tyranny. And when a government gets away with something like this, it can only lead to more tyranny.
When America was founded in the year 1776 it was created as a "Government by the People for the People". The words at the beginning of the Constitution state very clearly:
"We the People of the United States."
It is clear beyond any doubt that the government was intended to be the servant of the people, but if the government establishes laws that the people do not want, then it is the people who are the servants of the government, clearly not what the founders of America intended.
But how could this happen, how can a free people stand by and let a government impose laws on them that they do not want? First of all it was done by back room deals, out of the view of the citizens. The peoples money was used to buy votes from weak congressmen to impose laws they do not want. One congressman from Connecticut got a free hospital, Louisiana got 300 million dollars, other states got exemptions from medicaid payments. This used to be called corruption, now it's just business as usual. And the public has now learned that both parties often use a system of establishing laws called "Deem and Pass"
that allows them to establish laws without final votes so that they can say they are not responsible for it. It has also been found out that there is a document called the "Living Constitution" that is over 1,000 pages long and contradicts our Constitution of 1787 in many ways, but this "Living Constitution" has never been voted on or ratified by the states as required by the Constitution of 1787, it's clearly unconstitutional, clearly illegal but also clearly being used instead of our 1787 Constitution.
This corruption is so rampant, that even president Barak Obama who, right after pledging to honor and defend our Consiitution, then called it a "Charter of Negative Rights".
This corruption and disdain for the principles that made America a great nation and the drift to socialism--a system that failed everwhere it was tried, along with sending America to bankruptcy with massive debts, must be stopped.
This proves beyond any doubt that the signers of the Constitution were right when they said:
"Government at it's best is but a necessary evil".
You just can't get around it, government is needed to organize society, or else there will be chaos, but government is basically evil, it must be tightly controlled or else it will destroy the nation. This is why the founding fathers established our nation as a "Government by the People". The people must tightly control the government, they must, in fact, BE the government.
But how do you organize a nation of 300 million people into a governing system? I thought about this long and hard. But I am not the only one to think about this, Thomas Paine also thought about this in his book "Common Sense" that was published at the time of the American Revolution. In this book he said that the best government is simply a gathering of the local people to talk about issues that concern them. He even said that any place is good for a meeting place, even under a good shade tree, but he also said that as a nation becomes bigger, a local gathering is no longer practical, representatives must be chosen to speak for them in a governing system. And that is and remains the problem, because special interests, realities of power and big money comes in and corrupts the government so that the needs of the people are no longer of a concern to the government.
But I keep coming back to the same question, if 300 million people are to BE the government, how can this be done? Can some form of "Electronic Democracy" be used for this? Can it be that a forum can be established on television where people can debate issues, that poll takers can run a tally to find out how the people think things should be done. Or can permanently installed ATM type voting centers be established for this. I don't have the answer for this, the people must decide this. The people must "be the government" to keep the politicians honest and adhering to the Constitution of 1787. This is why I set up this web page so that the people can debate this issue, among other issues.

"Governments are instituted among men deriving their powers from the consent of the governed,-that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it; and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness".
